Contracts Administrator

JOB LOCATION

Walbridge, OH

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Review, revise and assist with negotiation of various contracts with owners and vendors.
  • Organize contract files including but not limited to review copies, internal discussion notes, negotiation correspondence and final execution contract documents.
  • Conduct preliminary contract reviews and provide mark-ups and recommendations regarding important legal and risk management issues for negotiation.
  • Develop contract proposals to support organizational goals.
  • Ensure that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Write contract letters and other communications and notices.
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on projects and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders.
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders including project managers, risk management professionals and senior executives.

  • General understanding of accounting principles and finance.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • 3+ years’ experience in a contract administration role or related field
  • Legal experience and / or knowledge of contract law
  • Customer service and project management experience a plus, especially coordination of large projects.
  • Technical and / or construction related background / experience preferred but not required
