Theater Promotions & Operations Assistant
The Promotions and Operations Assistant supportsthe Robsham Theater Arts Center (RTAC) and has significant responsibilities inthe theater's operations, including communications, budget and finance, housemanagement, management of the online ticketing system portal, web managementand supervision of student staff.
In addition, this position serves as theback-up to the Box Office Manager; oversees the preparation of marketingmaterials to promote RTAC and the purchase of tickets for theater events andstudent programs, including electronic and printed communications;
manages the front of house" production student staff; and oversees day-to-dayfinancial operations, including sales verifications, reconciliations, andPeopleSoft transactions.
Each staff member in the Division of Student Affairs is expected to supportdivision and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committeesas needed.
This is a regular, full-time, benefits eligible positionthat works 39 weeks per year (mid August through mid May) - summers off!
Hiring Range : $26.76 / hour to $33.43 / hour. Pay rate commensurate with relevantexperience.
Requirements
This is an administrative support position and candidateswould excel in this role if they have excellent organizational skills, strongcommunication skills, and have familiarity with, and an interest in learningmore about Google Workspace tools, Microsoft Office Suite, web design and othercomputer / software experience.
In addition, preferred skills include :
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Theater, or related field
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a theater setting
- Project management
- Student supervisory experience
- Event and facility management experience
- Knowledge of Ticketing Systems, EMS, PeopleSoft and Kronos preferred
