The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial functions, from database management to process improvement, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

You will play a crucial role in leveraging your expertise in database structure, financial processes, and systems to extract, transform, and analyze financial data.

You will follow normal accrual processes on a quarterly basis and adhere to monthly cycles. You will facilitate the transition from old budgets to the new year, ensuring accurate financial data transfer.

You will manage the PR and PO lifecycle, acting as a gateway and engaging with submitters to discuss and validate data. You will receive and clean data in alignment with the cyclical flows of monthly actuals and quarterly accruals.

You will contribute to high-level process improvements and innovations within the financial data analysis domain. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently with minimal oversight, making informed decisions based on historical data.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS (top 3 must haves)

7+ years of experience as a Financial Data Analyst or similar role Ability to use broad database knowledge to design and normalize database structures.

Proficient in working with databases such as Postgres and Airtable Demonstrate strong Excel skills, applying business logic for ad-hoc reporting, data reconciliation, duplicate checks, and ad-hoc analysis

• Experience applying financial context to data analysis, understanding the flow of invoices, purchase orders (POs), purchase requisitions (PR), and the overall invoice process Strong knowledge of financial concepts, such as accruals, and their timing, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of how these elements interconnect.
• Strong general SAP Systems knowledge, particularly on the system backend side
