I am looking for a Senior Traffic engineer to lead a major project in Atlanta.
This will be the primary contact on a large GDOT signal operations project.
Key Responsibilities
- Traffic Signal Retiming : Lead projects related to signal retiming, including the development, implementation, and optimization of timing plans for coordinated and isolated systems.
- Design : Create plans and specifications for traffic signal systems, isolated signals, intersection improvements, and signing and marking projects.
- Traffic Studies & Analysis : Conduct traffic studies and operational analysis using VISSIM, Synchro, and other tools to assess traffic flow and signal operations.
- Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) : Apply systems engineering principles for the development and deployment of signal and other ATMS.
- Field Work : Perform field verifications of existing and proposed traffic control devices and make recommendations for improvements.
- Technical Reports & Client Delivery : Prepare traffic engineering reports, conceptual designs, and technical deliverables, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
Qualifications
- GA Professional Engineering (PE) license or able to obtain in 3 - 6 months
- 10 - 15 + years of progressively responsible traffic operations experience, with a specific focus on traffic signal retiming .
- Experience with MicroStation and GDOT guidelines (or equivalent).
