As a Behavior Specialist , you play an essential role in helping amazing children and young adults live their best lives! You will be responsible for assisting the Behavioral Team Leader and BCBA to conduct Functional Assessments and develop Behavior Plans using approved Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and strategies and provide oversight of the implementation of the plans.

What does a Behavioral Specialist Do?
- Assists the Behavioral Team Leader in conducting assessment and developing behavior plans that help the children develop skills and adaptive behaviors
- Trains and coaches direct support professionals to implement the behavior plans and document data
- Leads the classrooms teams in procedures to prevent and de-escalate crisis behaviors and implement positive classroom management strategies
- Monitors the progress of each individual through analysis of data and ensures procedural modifications are made as warranted
- Leads the classrooms teams in engagement of all activities and lessons using positive prompting and reinforcement
- Models and reinforces effective classroom management, prevention, de-escalation, crisis management, and transition strategies
Required Qualification / Skills :
- High School Diploma / GED
- RBT Certification required
- 3 or more years of experience including implementation of ABA plans with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid FL drivers license
