Summary :
The Manager Information Services will manage theimplementation, support, lifecycle management and strategy forcontent within the designated programs.
The Manager will assistwith the following :
- Train, mentor, and coach IS associates, as wellas lead projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Apply strong knowledge of healthcareoperations, proven communication, problem-solving, criticalthinking, and management skills to guide design, development, anddeployment of critical systems.
- Drivecontinual process improvement in the delivery of applicationservices throughout CHRISTUS Health.
- Maintainknowledge of current and emerging trends in healthcare technology,actively seeking information to stay abreast of best practices,application solutions and services, striving to incorporateinnovation in a practical, cost-effectivemanner.
- Ensure that areas of responsibilityand projects are within scope and whereapplicable.
Responsibilities :
- Monitors, manages, and reports day-to-dayoperations to the System Director to support efficient andeffective planning for resource utilization and prioritization ofthe body of work for which IS is accountable andresponsible.
- Successfully manages a fullworkload across multiple-projects, while leading a team of assignedassociates.
- Recruits, onboard, train, mentors,and develop direct reports to deliver high quality services.
- Conducts performance reviews for assigneddirect reports.
- Manage assigned associate’stime and attendance / payroll.
- May be requiredto travel to perform duties.
- May be requiredto work outside of normal working hours.
- Maybe required to work long hours during critical problems orimplementations.
- Other related duties asassigned.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer Science,Management Information Systems, business or relatedfield
- Financial skills related to budgeting,forecasting, and managing multi-million-dollar departmentalbudgets.
- Strong knowledge of major healthcareinformation system(s).
- 3+ years of experiencein Information Technology leadership role.
- Experience in providing and managing customer support in a highlymatrixed organization.
- Ability to work onmultiple and complex projects.
- Ability toconsistently demonstrate positive communication style, strongcritical thinking skills and a creative and collaborative approachto problem solving required.
- Adaptable andflexible style, ability to work if dynamicenvironment.
- Excellent written and oralcommunication skills including presentationskills.
- Excellent resource managementincluding resource projection and budgetingskills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative wayacross a diverse, geographically, and culturally, organization.
