Pet Care Center is located in Metairie, Louisiana and has been serving the community since 1958. We are a 24-hour animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats.
We welcome both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care.

We are seeking an Overnight Registered Veterinary Technician to help lead the team during overnight and provide excellent care to hospitalized patients.
The hospital manager is looking for an experienced teammate who can help delegate tasks and provide high quality care.

Position Skills :
- Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
- Laboratory procedures including but not limited to : hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
- Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
- Nursing skills including : restraining patients, administering medications PO / IV / SUBQ / IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
- Proficient in dental prophylaxis
Position Requirements :
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
- Shift options available : graveyard shift, second shift, or third shift
