What?
This role focuses on specific accounting tasks, primarily accounts payable, but may also involve accounts receivable and other administrative responsibilities.
This position will be fully onsite in Albany, Oregon.
Main aspects of the role include :
- Processes accounts payable invoices, which includes matching, coding, inputting, routing and releasing for payment.
- Prepares monthly reconciliations of the accounts payable subsidiary ledger, accounts payable accruals and retainage to the general ledger.
- Prepares month-end accrual entries for non-inventoried items and other adjusting entries.
- Prepares 1099 at year-end and other year-end requirements such as Unclaimed Monies requirements.
- Maintains the accounts payable vendor files and accuracy of all monthly accounts payable reports. Monitors variances.
- Manage weekly check run.
- Responsible for handling and listing all in-house cash receipts.
- Regular Excel use for reporting.
You!
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in spreadsheets and databases, with proficiency in using an integrated business system.
In addition, this candidate will have 1-3 years of office experience in accounting or finance. A 4 year degree or current coursework in Business, Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail are critical to this position. Lastly, this candidate would have a positive, can-do attitude and be a cheer leader for our people, culture, company and products.
