Talascend is currently seeking a Welder II for a contract opportunity located in Mobile, AL.
OVERVIEW :
Operates mechanized welding equipment in fabrication shop while
adhering to company and government safety codes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operate machinery and equipment in accordance to company regulations.
- Adhere to all safety codes and precautions while on site and on the job.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Pass on site welding test and training.
- Minimum 2 years welding experience, preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to wear FRCs in varying extreme temperatures.
