LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Project Engineer in the construction industry to join a client’s team that is rapidly growing and is a large construction contractor in New Mexico.
This Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting project management and ensuring the technical and engineering aspects of construction projects are executed effectively.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a career in construction project management and engineering.
Responsibilities :
Support project managers in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Assist in creating and updating project timelines and ensuring project milestones are met.
Monitor daily construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform site visits to inspect work progress and quality.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and project records.
Assist in preparing and submitting required project reports to stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
Ensure that construction work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in tracking project expenses and budget adherence.
Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and coordinating material deliveries.
Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and clients.
Participate in project meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of project management software (, Microsoft Project, Primavera) is a plus.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently when required.
Understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Internship or related experience in the construction industry.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in construction.

Hour vary based on project needs.
Pay between $45k - $52k annual salary
