The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors.

Job Description
The Billing / Collections Specialist ensures the collection of payments due to the facility in a timely and accurate manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.
The Billing Specialist generates the bills to various payors in accordance with applicable regulations and laws. Duties include calling patients to discuss payment and develop reasonable payment plans.
Prepare accounts for collections.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
Education : Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred, High school diploma or GED required.
Experience : 1-3 years billing, accounting, accounts receivable, and collections experience required in a hospital / medical environment.
Knowledge : Prefer knowledge of billing, general accounting, accounts receivable, and collections. Knowledge and skills working with computerized accounting systems required.
