ABOUT THE ROLE
InterAtlas is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President and Controller, in this role you will be responsible for assisting with the accounting for our Logistics Division.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE :
- Accounts Payable and vendor relationships.
- Support / backup Invoicing and Accounts Receivable, as needed.
- Journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
- Review and submit medical insurance application, reconcile benefits invoice and process for payment, update payroll with the employer and employee paid premiums.
- Assist with weekly payroll process.
- Assist with 401(k) administration.
- Assist with quarterly State HUT and IFTA returns.
- Additional financial projects or tasks, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US :
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounting Clerk role, or similar
- Post-secondary education, focused on Business Administration & Accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks is nice to have, but not necessary if you have experience with other accounting software
- Experience within Logistics and Warehousing industry would be an advantage
- Solid Excel knowledge and experience, creating spreadsheets using Vlookups, Pivot tables, and similar functions
- Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, correspondence, and instructions
- Effective written and oral communication with management and staff, suppliers, and customers
- Understand and maintain high level standards of confidentiality and use discretion and tact
- Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
