Job Description
The Mobile Video Presales Business Manager (PBM) manages the development and implementation of the presale process for Body Worn Cameras, In-Car Video, License Plate Recognition (LPR) and other software based solutions within Motorola’s ecosystem.
Coordinates departmental and cross-functional teams, focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals. Manages projects from identification of the presale opportunity and proposal inception to transition of the project to the post sale team.
Ensures that projects are completed on time and in conformance with relevant requirements. Working with the other business groups, these key individuals are responsible for identifying upcoming opportunities, evaluating requirements, identifying specific statements of work, ensuring appropriate resource hours and costing is inline with Deployment strategies, & insuring the proposed customer solution will be implemented with the best possible strategy.
May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
In this role, PBM holds accountability for :
Presale business strategy development with sales goals and market strategies
Development of the implementation approach and service plan necessary to win the project
Meet / exceeding customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met
Manage to Motorola’s sales, revenue and margin goals
Drive quote and Request For Proposals to completion and work with leadership to identify specific proposal priorities
Manage RFQs for third-party content and negotiate for best cost-benefit to MSI
Develop and Drive consistent Systems Integration & Services strategy for all proposals
Manage cross-functional teams and monitor the progress of all proposal deliverables needed for the customer proposal
Maintain Statement of Work templates
Coordinate with the various functional teams
Specific Knowledge / Skills :
- Bachelor's Degree OR 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Proposal Management, Contract Management, Pricing Development, and / or Business Development
- 1+ years of experience in one or more of the following : Sales, Presales Business Management, Business Development, Program Management, or Project Management
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Proficiency in applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, email and web applications
Comfortable presenting to internal and customer facing audiences
Ability to take ownership and drive results for multiple projects with multiple people and meet deadlines
Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners and customers
Willingness to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo with new ideas and develop new strategies and processes
Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset
Develop trusted relationships with work partners
Manage the development and implementation of the entire presale process focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals
Issue RFQs (Request for Quote) for third-party content and negotiate for best cost-benefit to Motorola Solutions
Develop and Drive consistent Systems Integration & Services strategy for all proposals
Participate in Contract negotiations as subject matter & proposal experts
Develop and Implement the show pricing plan
Manage cross-functional teams and monitor progress of all proposal deliverables needed for the customer proposal

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Proposal Management, Contract Management, Pricing Development, and / or Business Development
- 1+ years of experience in one or more of the following : Sales, Presales Business Management, Business Development, Program Management, or Project Management
