Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.

Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : + High school diploma or G.E.D.

equivalent+ Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing+ The completion of two clinical rotations, one of which must be Med / Surg (in an acute care setting)+ Physical ability to lift and move patients, supplies, and equipment with appropriate technique / device+ Successful completion of 180-day introductory period required to achieve knowledge of policies relative to job duties and patient care unit.
