Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for an Finance Supervisor, Services position.

Job Summary :
Responsible for the day-to-day transaction accounting activities and financial reporting focused on Fike's construction and service business lines.
This includes the maintenance of complex accounting records, the preparation and analysis of trial balance worksheets, and support for the annual financial audit.
This role provides day-to-day guidance to the accounts receivable and accounts payable support teams in recording and posting transaction activity related to construction and service contracts.
This will include reviewing open projects and service work orders with the operations team. Additionally, this role will coordinate with the corporate technical accounting team on month end close, reconciliation of balances, and direct insight to business unit leaders of monthly results.
This position will be a key member of the finance operations leadership team and provide direct supervision of staff accountants, accounting clerks, and analysts.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Supports the daily execution of key transactional accounting processes, as primary or backup, including invoicing, cash application, subcontractor billing, execution of payables, job costing, change orders, expense report processing, and other as required.
- Supports transformation projects related to cash management efficiency and mitigation of check and wire fraud by transitioning customers and vendors from cash or check deposits into electronic transfers.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on state tax regulations related to service offerings and tax exemptions. Have a detailed knowledge of the various document requirements and work with cross-functional teams to ensure strict adherence to documentation compliance.
Meet filing deadlines and resolve discrepancies with state and local tax authorities.
- Manages current tax registrations and licenses and support new registrations related to growth and creation of new entities.
- Reviews transactions prior to month-end close to ensure completeness and accuracy. Identify transactional issues or inefficiencies, and develops resolution strategies or process improvements.
- Responsible for the execution of the month-end close process and preparation of the business unit financial statements for domestic entities and Fike Corporation.
- Reviews open and closed jobs for analysis of job costing, soft commitments, costs overruns or other insights to provide to operations teams.
- Generates and analyzes monthly close reports for assigned business unit locations and Fike Corporation.
- Approves and posts all journal entries performed by accounting staff on a monthly basis.
- Reports month-end transaction summaries to the technical accounting department leadership and business unit leadership
- Gathers and analyzes accounting information from all segments of the operations team to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Executes and reviews all critical accounting processes as assigned including but not limited to inventory and cost management, fixed assets and capital expenditures, ASC 606 revenue recognition, order to cash, and procure to pay processes
- Reports month-end transaction summaries to the technical accounting department leadership.
- Coordinates and prepares work papers and data files for the yearly financial statement audit.
- Develops and maintains monthly account reconciliation and analysis. Ensure integrity between subledger, general ledger balances, and support documents within the accounting system.
- Serves as a technical accounting subject matter expert for revenue recognition and costs management records at assigned business unit and Fike Corporation.
- Develops, maintains and drives improvement in general accounting policies and procedures.
- Champions a continuous learning and collaborative environment that increases engagement and development of accounting staff.
- Assists with major business system implementations and other special projects where needed.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.

Job Qualifications :
Required : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar designation. Five years or more plus years of progressive experience in public or corporate accounting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP. Highly effective computer skills in MS Office Suite. Strong communication skills. Supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred : Master's degree in Accounting or related field. Prior experience in manufacturing, construction or related industry.
Prior supervisory experience. Knowledge of Sage construction and service applications (Sage 300, Sage Intacct).
