As part of the Program Planning family, you will support the preparation and maintenance of program schedules and plans through effective relationship building and analyzing complex data to drive program execution.

Our Program Planners are trusted partners and strategic advisors for our internal and external customers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for new or existing development / production / sustainment programs leveraging the Program Summary Master Schedules (PSMS)
  • Tracking progress of program activities against baseline internal plans, and ensuring schedule margin to contract dates is achieved or maintained
  • Maintaining schedules, performing probabilistic / deterministic risk analysis, and identifying critical / driving paths while developing solutions for resolutions along with network logic validation / deconfliction
  • Supporting and participating in negotiations with customer and internal stakeholders
  • Proposal submittal and execution schedule development through preparation and assessment of progress against established plans and parameters
  • Formulating and recommending corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, fund allocations, and work requirements
  • Maintaining cost and schedule integration throughout program lifecycle
  • Implementing and monitoring Earned Value Management System on programs
  • For a level 3, we typically look for a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education, with 6 years of professional experience;

or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience / combined education.

Desired skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years or more of experience in planning or program management related discipline
  • Proficiency in Network scheduling tool (MS Project, Open Plan, Primavera, etc)
  • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance
  • Production / Sustainment / Depot Operations
  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Development
  • Proposal development and submittal
  • Integrated Master Plan (IMP) creation and integration
  • Advanced Excel skill set including macros, lookup tables and VBA
  • Experience with the Schedule Risk Assessment process / tools
  • Ability to communicate utilizing different techniques and build strong relationships
