VP of Finance

Robust AI is a fast-growing, early-stage startup founded in 2019 by an unsurpassed team of veterans in robotics, AI, and business.

As the VP of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the company's financial strategy and execution to drive growth, profitability, and financial sustainability.

You will work cooperatively with the CEO and other leaders to plan and model the business and manage execution toward shared goals.

In addition, you will help with fundraising and investor relations by building relationships with investors and appropriately sharing the company's financial strategy and performance

• Main responsibilities;
• Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Lead the finance team, primarily managing external partners and services; eventually building your own team.
• Collaborate with other executives to develop and implement the company's overall business strategy, budgets and business plan.
• Personally build and manage the complex financial model used for planning, analysis and strategic decision-making.
• Create and manage a financial plan and budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum return on investment.
• Analyze and evaluate financial performance, identifying opportunities for growth, optimization, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, audit, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors, lenders, and vendors, to manage financial risk and secure funding as needed.
• Timely and accurately provide financial reports and information to internal and external parties.
• Manage and supervise purchasing, receivables, and payables cycles to maximize cash flow and partner relationships.
• Ensure financial policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, promoting transparency and accountability.
• Manage external audit processes to produce audited financial statements in a timely manner.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a VP of Finance or in a similar executive finance leadership role in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead an effective finance team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate financial data and metrics, with a deep understanding of finance analytics and tools.
• Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong business acumen and financial acuity, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Experience in fast paced early stage companies is recommended.
• Experience in fundraising, M&A, and IPOs is a plus.
