Job Title : Accounting Analyst, Accounts Payable (US)
Job Description :
The Accounting Analyst, Accounts Payable is a key member of the controllership team, responsible for supporting the accounts payable team by analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate vendor and financial records, and assisting in the timely resolution of inquiries.
This role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the processing of vendor master data, inquiries, and analysis of reports and data
- Support internal and external audits as well as adhere to Sarbanes Oxley controls within accounts payable
- Maintain vendor files in a timely and accurate manner
- Engage with vendors and other stakeholders to resolve vendor master, payment, or invoice issues while maintaining positive relationships
- Assist in preparation of reports for leadership
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
- Analyze accounts payable process and recommend improvements
- Participate in projects when required
- Collaborate with project teams to enhance the accounts payable process and implementation of best practices
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable, preferred
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
