Role and Responsibilities

Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to Clients, Producers, Account Executives and Company Personnel. Servicing complex middle markets and large accounts.

Manages book of business with limited supervision, evaluates complex client issues and recommends solutions to identified issues.

  • P rovide day-to-day client service to assigned prospects / clients, in close coordination with Account Executive or Sales Executive.
  • R espond to client inquiries and requests for information.
  • P reparation and / or review and analyzation of technical documents to assure accuracy.
  • R esolution of account discrepancies.
  • E ntering client and policy data in management systems and files while maintaining accuracy.
  • A bility to complete all steps of the marketing process for new and renewal marketing, including review and compare carrier quotes.
  • P reparation of proposal / comparison and other documents for client meetings.
  • H andles routine to complex issues independently, relying on policies, procedures and precedents.
  • S ervice Commercial Lines accounts as assigned and aid in collections in accordance with agency policies, procedures and service standards.
  • M ail policies to the insured within 30 days after receipt of policy unless other policies are pending and are to be delivered in a binder to the insured.
  • S end policy binders to insured and company at least 7 days prior to expiration date. Binders must be mailed the same day as issued.
  • P rocess and mail endorsements within 15 business days of receipt from the company. If endorsement is agency billed, must be done within the month they are received.
  • P rocess all agency and direct bill audits immediately and no later than 5 business days from receipt of company agency billed invoices.

Follow up for collection of agencies billed audit premiums from clients.

U tilization of Worksmart to maintain documentation for all client transactions including, but not limited to : phone calls to or from the insured, to or from the insurance company, discussions and instructions given by the producer;

any and all documents (letters, e-mails, loss runs, etc.) that relate to a specific client.

  • I ssue certificates of insurance or auto ID cards same day requested.
  • W ork with Producer or Account Executive in new production or renewal / proposal process; evaluates and communicates client's service needs and exposure to loss and informs Producers or Account Executives of all important activities on their accounts.

Qualifications Needed :

  • Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years Commercial Lines middle market account management experience with a broker is required.
  • Experience servicing middle market commercial accounts.
  • Experience in medical malpractice is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or other related field, preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty license.
  • Requires certification as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), or a similar insurance designation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, working with specific deadlines.
  • Skilled in producing strong written and verbal communication
  • I nsurance designations of CIC, CRM, CRIS or any similar designations.
  • P roperty & Casualty Insurance license as required by respective state.
  • E xperience servicing a book of business at $500,00 in revenue ($6mil-$8mil in premium); particularly servicing clients $75k-$700k+ in premium.

Preferred Skills

  • S trong Organizational skills and attention to detail to assure document accuracy.
  • U nderstanding of underwriting and risk with ability to identify client exposure and insurance needs.
  • W orking knowledge of commercial insurance products / coverage and ability to manage the renewal cycle for book of commercial lines business.
