The laboratory of Dr. Jotham Suez at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health seeks to recruit a Sr. Research Data Analyst with extensive experience analyzing biological data in a research environment, with an emphasis on microbiome analysis.
We are a hybrid experimental / computational team utilizing big data (metagenomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics) to study the microbiome and virome in human health and disease.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with members of the Suez Lab to address pressing questions at the intersection of basic sciences and public health.
This will include analyzing large-scale datasets using advanced bioinformatic tools, developing and implementing novel computational approaches for data analysis, interpreting and presenting complex biological data to drive discovery, as well as mentoring and advising on statistical and computational aspects of experimental design.
You will have the opportunity to lead independent, computationally focused projects. You should possess a degree in a relevant subject with an extensive analytical component (e.
g., bioinformatics, statistics, molecular biology, mathematics) and an established track record (publications, preprints) in microbiome research.
This position is flexible : remote / hybrid / in-person; full-time, or part-time.
We are committed to fostering a collegial, welcoming, and inclusive environment for scientists of all backgrounds regardless of ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, or disability, and we are seeking individuals who share these values.
