As Public Area Attendant, you ensure all public and back of the house areas are cleaned and maintained according to company standards.

Role qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Position responsibilities :

• Sweep and vacuum carpets and floors
• Mop / clean surfaces, including grand staircase and guest elevators
• Dust and polish fixtures, furniture and flooring
• Clean windows, doors and glass
• Empty garbage receptacles and ash trays in outside areas
• Clean public restrooms, stock toiletries and soap as needed
• Provide Turndown Service in guest rooms
• Other duties as assigned

Housekeeping employees receive free transportation from Anchorage on a shuttle service that departs at 7 : 30 AM from the Midtown Mall.

The shuttle departs Alyeska Resort at 5 : 00 PM to return to the Midtown Mall.

Essential skills and experience : Must have experience in using chemical cleaning agents and cleaning equipment effectively and safely preferred.

Must have the ability to read, speak, and understand English to be able to communicate and read labels for product safety and emergency situations.

Individual must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to interact with guests and co-workers in a positive and friendly manner.

Previous related housekeeping experience preferred.
