RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Pediatric Allergy & Pulmonary Medicine

• Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryPosition is responsible for coordinating the care of patients for Pediatric Allergy and Pulmonary Medicine throughout the continuum of care;
• serves as a clinical resource in area of pulmonary function testing, spirometry, and asthma education.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities* Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients;

completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.* Performs basic spirometry in the pediatric pulmonary function lab at offsite ambulatory locations and communicates results with providers.

• Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, coordinates patient appointments, and assists with referrals to outside sources.
• Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.
• Acts as liaison by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members;

explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.Preferred Qualifications* 2 years of Pediatric pulmonary nursing experience.

• Experience performing spirometry and asthma education.* Asthma educator certification.* Prior Epic experience.Required Qualifications* Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and / or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

GradeS26Salary Range$60,800.00 - $105,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.

Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
