Consumer products manufacturer seeks to hire a mechanical product development engineer. This engineer will collaborate with the other product development engineers and the product design / R&D team to develop full system and mechanical designs for new products.

Responsibilities :
- Bringing the final design from the product design stage to life .
- Developing component and full system mechanical design
- Review new and existing designs, supporting the enhancement or revision of products
- Create technical drawings using CAD software and outline product specifications
- Verify the accuracy of tooling design and work instructions
- Document the entire development and design process
- Project management (schedule creation and management)
- DFM and BOM development
Requirements :
- Degreed BSMET or BSME with 3-5 + years of experience in : (less if candidate demonstrates strong competency of below)
- Component and Full system mechanical design
- Prefer 5+ yrs. of 3D proficiency including free-form (surface), (NX,Creo,Solid Edge) preferably Solid Works.
- Demonstrated design experience in : plastic injection, rotational, blow, extrusion, sheet metal
- Component and system level (sub / master assembly)
- Experience in consumer products, medical device, automotive
- Ancillary experience (any depth) :
- Project management (schedule creation and management)
