Disability Services Program Manager (Male Candidates Needed!)

PKT Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Male Program Manager (PM), who will be supporting a Male Client base. Due to the nature of the clients this position is for male candidates only.

In this position the responsibilities would be both managerial as well as directly supporting our in-home clients (individuals with disability who live in an independent living setting).

When providing services to the clients directly, the majority of the shifts will focus on community activities and outings.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

  • scheduling and attending medical appointments for the clients (as needed)
  • developing and implementing client goals
  • filing month end paperwork
  • planning client centered activities
  • scheduling and training competent staff to meet the daily needs of the clients (this will be accomplished by supervising the employees working in our In-Home Department which includes the Direct Support Professionals)

The Program Manager (PM) will be providing for the client’s needs and overseeing the details of the services that the clients are receiving.

The PM will facilitate an environment which is safe, comfortable, and fun so that the clients can reach their full potential and enjoy as many opportunities as possible to learn and grow.

A full-time Program Manager is an entry level position. Weekly hours will be a combination of 20 hours of direct 1 on 1 client support and 20 hours of flexible managerial responsibilities done in our corporate office in Minneapolis.

Shifts worked will be Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. The PM is required to work 80+ hours per 2 week pay period;

typically between the hours of 8 AM and 8 PM. Managing days around the needs of the clients, while taking into account time needed to perform managerial responsibilities and tasks is a huge flexibility benefit for the Program Manager.

  • Qualifications :

    Candidate must, at a minimum, meet the MN Department of Human Services statute definition of a Designated Coordinator, as listed below.

    1. A bachelor's degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; OR

    2. An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; OR

    3.A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; OR

    4. A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in items 1-3 above.
