Location : Holiday Inn Resort, Jekyll Island, GA
Compensation : $ + tips
Notice of training period : For the initial 3 weeks of employment, while the restaurant is not fully operational, all employees will be compensated at $ as they will be performing non-tipped work.
Upon the opening of the restaurant, employees will be compensated for their tipped role, with all non-tipped work being compensated at the state’s minimum wage.
About us : The Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island is opening a new restaurant that is set to redefine dining on the island.
Our coastal open-air restaurant will showcase regional seafood and ingredients, providing a unique dining experience for our guests.

Job Description :
- The first 3 weeks will focus on training, obtaining ServeSafe Food Handler and TIPs certifications, and getting oriented into our company culture / operating guidelines.
- Upon restaurant opening, responsibilities include but are not limited to
o Pre-setting the restaurant
o Serving meal courses
o Receive and process payment through POS terminal
o Maintaining side work stations
o Clearing tables, and storing equipment in its proper place at the end of each shift
o Must be able to handle guests requests courteously and work a flexible schedule with professionalism and respect
o You are the key member making a mark on our guest experience by making them feel welcomed, comfortable and attended to
Requirements
Requirements :
- Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time without sitting or leaning.
- At least one year of prior experience as a server.
- Long hours sometimes required
- Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range
- Ability to walk long distances
- High school diploma required / GED. Because the role would require serving alcohol, employees must be at least 18 years of age or older in order to remain compliant with GA law.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
