Sr. Data Engineer / Python Developer - Market and Credit Risk

Our client, a leader in the financial services software consulting and solutions industry, is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer / Python developer with experience working on Credit Risk or Market Risk Platforms for financial clients, for a full-time, staff position in NYC.

The key requirement is demonstrated experience working on RISK - Credit Risk or Market Risk platforms and projects. Actively screening for risk related projects to be clearly defined on any resume being reviewed. If you have risk experience, please ensure it is clearly shown on your resume before submitting.

This position is not accepting relocation candidates and is a full-time W2 position only. Not available for C2C or candidates outside of the NY / NJ / CT area at this time.

Position offers outstanding base compensation plus bonus and excellent benefits and perks. This role will be Hybrid 2-3x per week in the office in NYC.

Compensation

Base pay range : $180,000.00 / yr - $225,000.00 / yr

Additional compensation types : Annual Bonus

Requirements

  • 8+ years in SW Development / Engineering with recent expertise using Python, including advanced features for messaging, streaming, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Kafka and Airflow
  • Experience developing market risk / credit risk / credit counterparty risk products and platforms for financial clients.
  • Experience developing native apps on AWS.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using latest tools and technologies including Consul, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, and optimizing DB models for SQL and MongoDB
