Position Description : Assistant Coach Women's Rugby
The Assistant Coach is responsible for the development and improvement of the skills and strategies of the forward players, with a focus on scrums and lineouts.
This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the game, along with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with players and other staff members.
The successful candidate will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of scrum and lineouts and will be responsible for creating, developing, and implementing tactics and techniques to enable the team to excel in these areas.
They will also need to work closely with the Head Coach and other members of the coaching team to develop and execute training plans that optimize player performance.
Responsibilities
Other key responsibilities include player assessment and development, the creation of individual player performance plans, and collaborating with other coaches on game strategies and tactics.
The ability to analyze and evaluate game footage, provide feedback, and strategize for future games is also critical. In summary, the Forwards Coach specializing in scrums and lineouts is an integral component of Life U Rugby Team.
They must be able to develop and maintain a positive team culture, foster relationships with players, and work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve success on the field.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in physical education, kinesiology, exercise science or a related field
- At least 5 years of playing experience in high level environment
- Interest and passion for the forwards set piece
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of current rugby trends and training tools.
- Must be able to drive fleet vehicles.
