The Transport Team Respiratory Therapist Registered provides care to critically ill and / or injured patients in the transport environment.

Various transport media such as helicopter, airplane, ground ambulance, etc. Collaborates and coordinates patient care with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers both internally and externally.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Patient Care Quality :
  • Assesses, plans and implements patient care following clinical protocols in a manner that affords the greatest benefit.

Plans and implements patient care while working with multi-disciplinary services and other health care providers.

  • Patient Safety :
  • Works to ensure patients remain safe during the transitions of care and during transport.
  • Operational Safety :
  • Functions as a team member adhering to safety practices and fostering a safe environment with other team members.
  • Business Development :
  • Collaborates with and supports the leadership team in developing business strategies to grow the service lines and gain operational efficiencies.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

3 years Critical care RT

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred : Bachelor's Degree
  • Required : Graduate of an accredited school Respiratory Therapy

  • Certification Name : Basic Life Support Health Care ProviderRequiredIssuer : American Heart AssociationLicensure Speciality : Training CertificationEntity : CHNOLA

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Emotional stability to function effectively in unpredictable situations.
  • Problem solving skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and seek guidance when appropriate.
  • Good keyboarding skills and computer competency.
  • Requires being on-call and able to respond in no more than minutes.
