Position : Extended Day Program Director or Co-Director
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Experience working with children and adults preferred
- Proficient technology skills preferred
Responsibilities :
Essential job functions :
- Coordinate and facilitate all program activities to support students
- Monitor the general welfare and safety of all children
- Ensure the majority of time in the program is spent in academic activities, supports, and enrichment opportunities, as well as team building activities
- Monitor teacher-to-student ratios to ensure safety
- Prepare and communicate a plan with EDP and school staff to ensure students get safely to their EDP locations
- Provide supplies and healthy snacks daily
- Order and maintain supplies
- Contact parents when necessary
- Handle disciplinary problems with support from building administration if needed
- Provide orientation at the beginning of the year for all staff members and for new staff members as needed, including school policies and the guidelines for the program
- Make sure no new caregiver starts work until that person has been approved by HR and attended the Orientation training with HR as well as training by director
- Conduct meetings with the staff when needed
- Assign personnel-specific duties
- Work with school secretary to submit HR staff roster, ensure correct pay rates, and update inactive codes as needed
- Collaborate with the EDP bookkeeper / secretary to make sure that fees are collected, receipted and deposited.
- Maintain and keep an up to date electronic fee ledger
- Work with EDP bookkeeper to balance fee ledger and CRM, as well as remedy discrepancies
- Work with EDP director to provide tax receipts to families as requested
- Submit all required paperwork as needed
- Ensure bids and RFPs are being conducted when appropriate
- Collaborate with school secretary to submit a monthly financial summary to Business Services each month including June and July
- Archive files to be referred to in future if needed
- Attend District-level meetings as a representative of the school’s program
- Plan for and conduct emergency safety drills each month
- Ensure someone trained in CPR is onsite at all times
- Participate in mid and end of year evaluation with building Principal

Terms of Employment : Hourly Position
Rate of Pay : 23-24 Hourly Rate varies from $21.63 - $32.42 based on experience working with children and the size of EDP program
