Overview
The Sourcing Specialist Indirect Spend will be responsible for developing Requests for Quotations for indirect spend items (logistics, MRO, services, etc.
analyzing various forms of data from multiple sources and systems, liaising with internal stakeholders to understand / fulfill their needs, preparing reports, and providing daily, direct support as needed to the Category Manager for Indirect Materials, Customs, and Logistics.
Responsibilities
- Preparation & analysis of RFQ’s for indirect materials & logistics : LTL / TL, ocean, and rail
- Manufacturing site specific support for delivery / pickup troubleshooting
- Freight billing support, analysis, and resolution for internal & external customers
- Support the Category Manager in customs clearance matters by preparing documents and coordinating with carriers
- Provide analysis of indirect spend across categories for multiple manufacturing sites
- Calculation of freight rates with internal Sales team
- Support strategy development for all indirect spend categories
- Analyze data to support the needs of the business
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, this role will support the Strategic Sourcing team in general as needed to meet the objectives defined by the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field, preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
- 3+ years of experience in a sourcing role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and regions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Dynamics AX, preferred.
Certifications
- PMP certification preferred.
- APICS certification preferred.
