Senior UI/UX Project Lead

We are recruiting an experienced UX / UI Project Lead to join our elite team. In this position you will be part of a team that builds information systems that directly support decision making for the military and private sector.

You will work closely with our talented group of engineers and software developers, providing specifications of information, visualization, and functionality requirements as guidance for their system development efforts.

Responsibilities :

• Work collaboratively in a team environment to build UI designs for client decision solutions for critical, high stakes environments.
• Provide project leadership support in planning, coordinating, and executing projects, taking on responsibilities to ensure projects meet their milestones accurately and on time.

By improving communication among team members and stakeholders, this lead ensures project alignment with broader goals. Bridging technical expertise with project management, this role uses deep technical understanding and organizational skills to smooth project workflows, preempt bottlenecks, and implement solutions.

Project Lead is key to focusing the team on their strengths, driving project success, and encouraging innovation.

• Create and prototype innovative and useful GUI designs for these complex domains.
• Explore UX User’s Experience design options including brainstorming solutions, visualizing, prototyping, testing, and making things tangible at a concept level.
• Construct the final designs to turn ideas and mock-ups into executable, tangible materials for the client solution; participate in discussions with client and team members to explore design solutions.
• Display high adaptability and steadiness in performance in a high-performance environment; manage design system and standard library of reusable assets across various applications.
• Perform iterative evaluations of system prototypes and operational evaluations of fielded decision support systems.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of senior and principal engineers, translating decision requirements into specific GUI designs.
• Communicate directly with customers and subject matter experts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in information science, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Centered Design, Human Factors Engineering, Graphic Design, or related field with experiences in UX / UI design.
• 2+ years’ experience as a technical Project Lead or Engineering Lead.
• Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator. Familiarity with Basic HTML5, CSS3. JavaScript and React are also helpful.
• Demonstrated experience in using UX design best practices to create and implement UI designs.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi discipline, team-based environment. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions to create elegant user interfaces.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data for the best possible outcome.
• Project Management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Familiarity and interest in designing expert systems and / or UIs that deal with high data volumes and include rich data visualizations.
• TS / SCI Clearance is desirable.
