VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital is a growing and vibrant 7-doctor, AAHA accredited, small animal practice located in the Laurelhurst area of NE Portland. We have been serving the community and surrounding area for many years. We are a fast-paced, modern, paperless hospital that provides wellness and preventative care, advanced nursing care, digital radiology, ultrasonography, surgery, dentistry, hospitalization, client education, and much more.

Compensation : $22 / hr

Schedule : 4 / 10s with rotating Saturdays

We are a supportive team dedicated to providing the highest level of patient and client care. The majority of our doctors & staff are Fear Free Certified. We are seeking a FT experienced Technician or Veterinary Assistant who has a passion for the human-animal bond.

As a member of the VCA Laurelhurst team, you will support the Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parentby delivering an outstanding client experienceso we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to :

• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Radiology
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Laboratory work
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
• Client Education Supporting DVM team in outpatient appointments
