SLR International Corporation is seeking a Principal Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to serve as an integral part of our team in Connecticut.

The candidate will supervise and manage a wide range of transportation engineering projects in Connecticut and New England, as well as be responsible for planning, designing, permitting, analysis, and preparation of specifications and technical reports.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of experienced licensed engineers, landscape architects, planners, scientists, and other professional staff that will be supportive of their growth and development.

They will also collaborate on exciting and significant projects using interactive and engaging tools to deliver quality work that has a positive and lasting impact on the communities in which we work.

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in the field of Transportation Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (CT preferred or ability to get reciprocity)
  • Project management experience
  • Experience on CTDOT projects

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

  • Manage small to large scale transportation engineering, complete streets, and highway projects
  • Provide senior oversight on projects and serve as a technical resource
  • Assist in business development with public and private sector clients
  • Perform analysis and prepare design calculations
  • Prepare contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Perform quality review of design plans and contract documents.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and project team members.

Compensation Range :

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $120, to $150, Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
