The EBI Director is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of business intelligence solutions.

Business intelligence solutions span use cases from financial and accounting needs to detailed operational requirements.

This role will lead a team of analysts to ensure that the company's data is effectively used to drive business decisions and strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, contemporary BI tools and architecture, and team management.

There is a particular emphasis on collaboration with business partners to specify deliver strategic insights

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the EBI team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive EBI strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead design, development, and maintenance of EBI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, with a sufficient blend of enterprise-level and decentralized delivery platforms.
• Collaborate effectively and meaningfully with business partners across teams to understand departmental requirements.
• Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management by managing data flows into insights that drive growth and efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all EBI processes.
• Utilize advanced SQL skills to query, manipulate, and analyze data effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of EBI solutions, making improvements as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in EBI architecture and technologies.
• Provide training and support to end-users to promote data-driven decision-making.
• Manage BI projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field
• Proven experience in managing and leading an EBI team
• Proficiency with major business intelligence platforms, including experience in developing complex dashboards and reports
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL / ELT processes, and database management
• Advanced SQL skills, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of translating data into strategic business insights.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Experience with data governance and regulatory compliance is desirable.
• Experience working in a startup environment a plus.
• Must meet requirements of company background check policy requirements.
