Head of Marketing

Role Overview :

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Marketing to spearhead our marketing efforts on a global scale. This senior leadership role is integral to defining and executing a strategic roadmap that drives brand vision, customer engagement, and sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can assess risk versus reward, allocate resources to initiatives with the highest potential impact, and stay ahead of industry trends to keep Troubadour at the forefront of the market.

This role also requires a deep understanding of what truly excites and engages our customers, developing strategies that not only attract new customers but also foster strong, lasting relationships with them.

The role will be based either in the US or UK and reports directly to one of Troubadour’s co-founders.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Vision : Develop and lead the execution of a high-impact marketing strategy that aligns with Troubadour’s long-term business goals and brand vision.

Focus on initiatives that drive significant brand awareness, customer loyalty, and market expansion.

Brand Direction : Cultivate and communicate a clear vision for the brand that resonates with our target audience and sets Troubadour apart in the market.

Lead the creative direction, ensuring all content and campaigns are on-brand, engaging, and capable of inspiring our customers.

Innovation and Experimentation : Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and new ideas in marketing. Identify and test new opportunities to engage our customers, and quickly evaluate what works and what doesn’t.

Lead a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to explore creative ways to connect with our audience.

  • Customer Engagement : Deeply understand what excites and engages our customers. Develop strategies that not only attract new customers but also deepen the relationship with existing ones, making them passionate advocates of the brand.
  • Risk Management : Assess the risk and reward of potential marketing initiatives, prioritizing efforts that offer the greatest return on investment.

Make informed decisions that balance innovation with pragmatic business sense.

Leadership and Team Development : Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, creativity, and accountability.

Guide the team in executing initiatives that align with the overall brand strategy and business goals.

Performance Measurement : Establish key metrics for evaluating the success of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Use these insights to refine strategies and ensure that resources are being allocated effectively to drive growth.

  • Experience : 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing roles, with a proven track record in brand leadership and team management.
  • Strategic Thinker : You excel at seeing the big picture and translating it into actionable strategies. You understand how to allocate resources to initiatives with the highest potential impact and can navigate complex market dynamics.
  • Visionary Leader : You have a clear vision for where the brand should go and how to get there. You can inspire your team and the wider organization to buy into that vision and work towards it.
  • Customer-Centric : You have an innate understanding of what truly engages customers and can design strategies that resonate deeply with them.

You know how to make customers feel part of something bigger.

  • Innovative : You are always exploring new ideas and approaches. You know how to evaluate and test them efficiently, and you’re not afraid to take calculated risks if they could lead to big rewards.
  • Decisive and Analytical : You are skilled at making informed decisions based on a balance of creativity and data. You know how to measure success and make adjustments as needed.
  • Leadership : A strong and empathetic leader, you are able to build, develop, and inspire a team to achieve great things.
