MEDICAL RECORDS SPECIALIST

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of medical records management, including patient data confidentiality, record retrieval, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

work hours : 8 AM - 4 PM

education : High School

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow work schedule from supervisor
• Assist in organizing, planning and directing the medical records section in accordance with the established policies AND procedures
• Assist the medical records consultants as required
• Collect charts, assemble them in proper order, and inspect them for completion
• Answer telephone inquiries concerning medical records
• Retrieve medical records when requested by authorized personnel
• Advanced understanding of administrative processes
• Experience with Insurance appeals and audits
• In-depth knowledge of Medical Terminology required
• Ability to manage Medical Records department for community
• Ability to foster teamwork with all departments
