The Work
The Failure Analysis / SMT Engineer will be part of the Engineering Lab supporting multiple programs at the Syracuse site and RMS locations.
They will work with the design team to help prepare their board design for producibility in the development board area. They will also support failure analysis for the organization.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience with responsibilities that include but are not limited to :
- Automated surface mount printed circuit board builds
- Requirement set up for automated printed circuit board builds
- Reflow profile set up
- Printed circuit board stenciling set up and application
- Printed circuit board prototype builds
- Scanning electron microscope, FTIR, and Instron pull testers
- Working with additive manufacturing utilizing 3D printer
