Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the worldwide consolidated ie tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis and tax-related disclosures for SEC reporting, maintain and analyze discrete items for each reporting period and assist with external auditor review.
- Maintain tax basis balance sheets for all US Broadridge affiliatedpanies, including but not limited trial balances, book / tax adjustments (permanent / temporary differences) and tax journal entries.
- Assist with preparation and review of SOX related documentation and required certifications.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Oracle Tax Provision module.
- Prepare the calculation of quarterly US federal estimated tax payments.
- Support the collection of qualified research expenditures to calculate the annual US Federal and state R&D tax credits.
- Proactively identify and rmend improvements to the financial tax accounting process along with the coordination and implementation of operational improvements.
- Assist with integrating US acquisitions into the provision module.
- Support tax due diligence, modeling and planning associated with acquisitions and dispositions and other ad-hoc projects.
- Stay current with tax laws and research technical matters as they arise and assist with analyzing the impact to Broadridge's tax provision and cash tax position.
- Liaise with external advisers and in-house tax specialists.
Qualifications
- CPA or MBA / MS in taxation required with experience in a large corporate tax department and / or big 4 accounting firm.
- At least 3-7 years of ie tax provision experience
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SEC reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving,munication skills and detail oriented
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Working knowledge of Oracle system, Corptax and Vertex
- Strong technical research, writing and analytical skills.
