Requirements

Ticket Seller

A Ticket Seller at DPAC plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our guests. As the first point of contact, you’ll provide accurate event information, assist patrons with ticket sales and exchanges, and guide customers through our website and mobile ticketing applications.

This position requires familiarity with Archtics and other Ticketmaster applications. You’ll collaborate with various departments to deliver Red Carpet Customer Service .

What you’ll do :

  • Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service to guests, answering inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Eye for Detail : Ensure accurate ticket issuance and payment processing during Broadway season shows, comedy events, and concerts.
  • Guidance : Accurately guide guests through the website and Ticketmaster applications for ticket purchases and information.
  • Season Tickets : Assist current season ticket holders navigate benefits, exchanges, new season member acquisition, and processing season ticket orders efficiently.
  • Outreach : Proactively engage with season ticket holders through cold calling to facilitate renewals and payment plans.
  • Ticket Issuance : Efficiently issue tickets to audience members, both for Broadway season packages and single ticket sales.
  • Sales Management : Handle incoming tickets sales via phone and in person.
  • Cash Handling : Manage cash and credit card transactions responsibly and accurately.
  • Project Assistance : Assist with various Ticket Center projects as directed.

What you'll bring :

  • Technology : While not mandatory, familiarity with ticketing systems and technology is appreciated.
  • Multi-tasking : Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills : Bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Cash Handling Experience : Previous experience handling money is essential.
  • Problem Solving : Effective problem-solving skills to address customer concerns.
  • Experience : 0 1 years of customer service experience.
  • Education : High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Comfort with frequent standing and prolonged sitting.
  • Must be able to see and communicate through speech and listening.

Requirements

o Customer Service Approach : Excel at providing excellent customer service, providing a warm and welcoming smile, and while using a how can we assist you today outlook.

o Screening Guests : Monitor designated entrances to screen guests to ensure safety and security. o Secondary Guest Screenings : If a guest triggers an alarm or appears suspicious, conduct a secondary screening.

o Guidance and Assistance : Provide directional assistance and guidance to guests as needed. o Usher Transition : Transition to an usher role if assigned to seating areas after guests have entered the venue.

o Crowd Control : Assist in managing crowd situations when required. o Supervisor Instructions : Follow instructions from supervisors regarding assignments and duties.

What you’ll bring : o Calm Under Pressure : Demonstrates the ability to remain composed in challenging situations. Adherence to Protocols : Commits to following safety and security protocols and guidelines.

Flexible Availability : Available for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Customer Service Excellence : Skilled in high pressured situations while delivering exceptional customer service.

Experience : Possess proven experience in crowd management, access control, deployments, and evictions, with at least one year in event screener or security roles.

Physical Requirements : Perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions. Require effective vision and communication skills through speech and listening.

Involve continuous walking, occasional sitting, and lifting. Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout a shift.
