POSITION PURPOSE :

ATI is currently seeking a Sales and Customer Service Process Leader to join our facility in Cudahy, WI. A successful Sales and Customer Service Process Leader will sell ATI Forged Products capabilities and solicit inquiries from established and potential customers by phone, letters, plant visit, etc.

in order to make certain ATI Forged Products has the opportunity to participate in existing and emerging forging markets.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES :

  • Develop new customers and / or applications.
  • Negotiate and obtain orders which meet customer and ATI Forged Products requirements.
  • Work with Program Sales Manager to build customer and / or market commercial strategies across all of the ATI Forged Products facilities.

Responsible for execution of growth strategies with local sales teams. Provides coordination within ATI and within local sales teams.

  • Provide Sales Management with statistics on sales order and shipment projections via monthly, and yearly forecasts to facilitate proper decision-making and goal setting.
  • Keep abreast of current and potential markets through contact with customer and trade publications to aid in increasing ATI Forged Products competitive status in the marketplace.
  • Inform Sales Management regarding status of customer plant and order activity through internal and customer contacts and issuance of various reports.
  • Determine and communicate identity of our major competitors for each customer, including market share held by each competitor and ATI Forged Products.
  • Educate customer regarding ATI Forged Products physical and technical capabilities by maintaining close verbal or personal contact to aid in quote solicitation and order negotiations.

Organize and make effective formal sales presentations, which motivate desired customer response.

  • Initiate customer requests for pricing via internal procedures and provide germane and timely information to permit intelligent pricing in light of current marketplace and competition.
  • Furnish customer with timely and accurate quotation proposals and follow-up negotiations to obtain orders.
  • Coordinate order placement with Internal Editing and Engineering departments to assure strict compliance to all customer requirements.

Provide necessary support to insure continued compliance to ISO 9001 : 2000 / AS9100A.

  • Coordinate communication between ATI Forged Products and customer regarding contractual questions that may arise and establish verbal and written commitments between ATI Cudahy and customer.
  • Call on individual customer facilities to become acquainted with their product line, while encouraging customer visits to better illustrate ATI Forged Product’s capabilities.
  • May provide informal working guidance to account group sales and clerical personnel to assure smooth office operations.
  • Responsible for effective handling of customer complaints to assure prompt resolution and desired customer relations.
  • Coordinate submissions by the Quality Department for customer review of non-conforming materials to assure compliance to contractual requirements procedure, and timeliness consistent with Sales Department and ATI Forged Products objectives.

Assist Quality Department in obtaining timely resolution.

Assist Finance Department in resolving complex or deadlocked problems, which cannot be reconciled by Accounts Receivables collection procedures.

Requirements

BASIC REQUIREMENTS :

  • BS. Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related is required.
  • 4 years of Sales exposure.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS :

  • Position requires broad knowledge of sales techniques, strong human relations, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of forging operations and techniques, and an understanding of engineering concepts,
  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals, as developed through Sales experience is required.
