Senior Firewall Engineer (Sentinel/Azure)

We're hiring to find a strong candidate willing to take full time work on a salaried basis to support one of our best clients, the client is seeking to find a strong resource as it pertains to Firewalls (Palo Alto / CheckPoint / Juniper / Fortinet / et cetera) and also someone capable of delivering across Microsoft toolings, specifically with Azure (Sentinel, Identity and Access, Secure Service Edge / SASE, Defender, Intune, Azure AD / Entra, et cetera)

• Strong abilities designing solutions in different systems, for application security, network security (firewalls / et cetera) and new policies to protect the organization
• Abilities to configure, deploy, and work within advanced cloud, firewall, and web based technologies and services
• Eagerness to come up to speed on our architectures, our network and system security integration efforts, and the tools that offer comprehensive protection over large distributed systems and networks internationally
• Knowledge and mentoring abilities for implementing and mentoring others in regards to IAM / PAM for secure access with different forests and levels of trust(s) based on needs of organization
• Your understanding and collaboration to solve complex business problems and security initiatives, including assessments, vulnerability identification and management, solutioning and remediation / recommendation efforts for the most awesome-est best-est ever security positionings and stances while also contributing to teams cross functionally as a representative of the cyber security department and senior stakeholder working on behalf of the organizations best interests for both past, present, and future security positioning

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity or network engineering / network security engineering experience (focused on firewalls)
• STRONG Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel (as well as with similar platforms / SIEM tools)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills when it comes to solving system and firewall needs for the team for SecOps, Data Loss Protection (DLP), SIEM / Event management toolings for monitoring and risk based alerting
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences with complex issues and able to convey ideas into actionable solutions for low priority and urgent matters.
• Willingness to learn new tools (Ansible, Python, PowerShell) as well as tools for regulatory compliance, business integrity tools, and new runbooks and playbooks
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and develop new policies that stand up to industry best practices
