JOB OVERVIEW

We areseeking a talented Front End or Full Stack Developer with a passionfor geospatial technology to join our wireless core engineeringteam.

In this role you will play a pivotal role in creating and / orupdating a geospatial website or application that leveragesGeographic Information System (GIS) data specifically tailored toenhance Next Generation Network Priority Services informationdissemination and emergency response capabilities.

You willcollaborate closely with our engineering and public safety teams toensure the seamless integration of geospatial data into ourcommunication systems thereby contributing to improved publicsafety outcomes nationwide.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with the wirelesscore engineering team to design develop and maintain a geospatialwebsite or application focused on Next Generation Network PriorityServices information dissemination and emergencyresponse.

Utilize your expertise in Front End or FullStack development to implement userfriendly interfaces andinteractive features ensuring optimal user experience andaccessibility.

Integrate GIS data into thewebsite / application to accurately relay caller location andcritical geographic information to emergency responders.

Work closely with GIS specialists and data analysts to ensure theaccuracy reliability and timeliness of geospatial data used in theapplication.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging toidentify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in thewebsite / application functionality.

Stay updated onindustry trends and advancements in geospatial technologyincorporating relevant innovations into the development process toenhance the website / applications capabilities.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including public safetystakeholders to gather requirements solicit feedback and prioritizefeature enhancements based on user needs and systemrequirements.

Provide technical support andtroubleshooting assistance to internal and external stakeholdersensuring smooth operation and maintenance of the geospatialwebsite / application.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or arelated field; or equivalent professional experience.

Proven experience as a Front End or Full Stack Developer with astrong portfolio showcasing proficiency in web developmenttechnologies such as HTML CSS JavaScript and modern Front Endframeworks (e.g. React Angular Vue.js).

Familiarity withgeospatial concepts and technologies including GeographicInformation Systems (GIS) spatial data analysis and mapping APIs(e.g. Google Maps API Mapbox).

Experience working withgeospatial data formats (e.g. GeoJSON KML) and spatial databases(e.g. PostgreSQL / PostGIS MongoDB).

Proficiency inversion control systems (e.g. Git) and collaborative developmentworkflows (e.g. Agile Scrum).

Strong problemsolvingskills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze complexrequirements and translate them into efficient and scalablesoftware solutions.

Excellent communication and teamworkskills with the ability to collaborate effectively withcrossfunctional teams and stakeholders.

Familiarity withpublic safety communication systems and NG911 standards is aplus.
