We are expanding and seeking an Operations Director to join our team. The Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and development of processes across the company.

Working closely with the CEO and CFO / COO, this role will identify and resolve roadblocks and bottlenecks, ensuring smooth operations.

The Operations Director will manage the Project Directors and Controller, ensuring KPI tracking is completed accurately and objectively.

Additionally, this role will oversee the execution of approved SOPs at all levels within the company, driving advancement through process optimization and accountability.

By evaluating existing operations, identifying weaknesses, and recommending improvements, the Operations Director will ensure that the Project Directors lead their teams in outperforming key performance indicators (KPIs) and achieving industry-leading benchmarks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall profitability of the company.
  • The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Project Directors and Accounting.
  • Work with the CEO to identify and execute on long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast on both a job specific basis, as well as performance compared to the annual objectives.

Create, improve and implement SOP processes at multiple levels of the organization to improve culture and project workflow.

Ensures that KPI tracking is completed company wide. Drive production through accountability with monthly metric tracking.

Identify weaknesses and opportunities to strengthen company deliverables.

Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

Requirements Education :

  • Required : High school diploma. 2 years college / AA degree or equivalent coursework.
  • Preferred : Construction / engineering bachelor’s degree.

Experience :

  • A minimum of 5 years in home construction related field, Project Management for 3 years minimum.
  • A minimum of 2 years construction estimating experience.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :

  • Able to prepare job estimates, decipher blueprints and analyze renderings for appropriate and accurate quoting of man-hours, materials and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Requires an understanding of architectural and construction administration services, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, specifications, and working drawings.
  • Must be familiar with building codes, materials, remodeling estimating techniques. Must have the ability to read, interpret, and review construction plans and job costs.
  • Must have working knowledge of software applications used within the company.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to : Word, Excel, Google Mail and Sheets.
  • Detail Oriented ability to be very precise, measure distances and the size of items and an eye for detail.
  • Critical Thinking Skills ability to problem solve when issues arise in a project and foresee them before they occur.
  • Communication ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.

Physical Requirements

Job requires balance of sitting in front of a computer for several hours at a time and the physical stamina to stand, climb, lift objects, and / or bend down for long periods at a time.

Possible travel within 50-mile radius to project sites, visiting clientele, contractors, suppliers, consultants, etc. Occasional out of area travel also possible.
