JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE Directs, supports, and administers the business functions of SHS pharmacy enterprise in collaboration with local hospital leadership and other SHS personnel.
Responsibilities include operational ownership of the 340B program, and purchasing / inventory processes. Participates and / or leads budgeting, contracting, business case analysis, reporting, project management, and other duties as required.
Performs the relevant duties of a Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statutes as well as SHS policies. Works collaboratively with other SHS teams including finance, compliance, supply chain, nursing, physicians, and others.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The pharmacy administration department provides leadership and direction to the various pharmacy departments and programs at SHS.
These include inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, the anti-coagulation and pharmacy residency programs as well as 340B operations.
We are staffed with seasoned pharmacists and technicians who help optimize pharmaceutical care throughout our SHS service area.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required. One (1) of the following required : Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency plus one (1) year pharmacy operations experience.
Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice plus two (2) years pharmacy operations experience.
Three (3) years pharmacy operations experience required. Two (2) years must have been in operations focused leadership with direct Pharmacy Administration and Leadership responsibility.
Advanced operational experience in inventory management and drug wholesaler concerns required. Previous leadership, hospital pharmacy and 340B experience preferred.
MBA preferred. All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment / post offer drug screen.
