Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
This position involves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, focusing on their development through fun and engaging activities that promote learning and developmental growth.
Our Teachers are also responsible for implementing behavior management strategies while effectively communicating with both children and their families and providing daily feedback to parents.
Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning in cognitive and physical domains as well as social-emotional development.
- Provide attentive care to toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times by following state rules and regulations, as well as Goddard Health and Safety Standards.
- Foster positive relationships with students by understanding their individual needs and interests.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to guide children’s behavior in a constructive manner.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning environment that supports child development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space conducive to learning and exploration.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices and preschool education methodologies is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of child welfare standards and best practices in childcare settings.
- Experience in implementing literacy education programs or activities is a plus.
- A background in physical education or related fields can enhance the learning experience for students.
