Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Manual Lathe Operator located in Anoka, MN. As a Manual Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for confidently operating a Pro-Takang Manual Lathe to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Your day-to-day tasks will include setting up machines, selecting the appropriate tools, monitoring the machining process, and inspecting finished products to ensure quality.
The right applicant will be ready and willing to cross-train on other manufacturing equipment such as an Acu-Rite Mill Power on 3-Axis Acer Vertical Milling Machine and a Willis Large Vertical Mill.
Qualifications
Operate and run two different lathes and drill presses to produce manufacturing parts out of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and / or plastic.
Lathe 1 - swing over bed of 15" with a distance between centers measuring 48". Lathe 2 - swing over bed of 30" with a distance between centers measuring 126".
- Must be versed in reading blueprints to assess specifications and configure equipment to produce parts.
- Ability to zero out machines and parts for operating
- Caliper / Tape Measure reading is a must
- Bridgeport Easy Track or Acu-Rite MillPWR G2 Programming experience desirable.
- 3+ years of proficiently operating manual lathe machines and understanding technical drawings
- Experience with tool selection, machine setup, and monitoring machining processes
- Knowledge of different materials, cutting tools, and machining techniques
