The primary responsibility of the Manager EE will be to lead and develop the electronics engineering team, which encompasses Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Electronics Computer Aided Design, Mechatronics, Functional Safety, and EE Lab Services.
The Manager EE will oversee planning, organization, leadership, and completion of global electronics engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Analyze electronics and software technology, resources, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Analyze and solve engineering-related problems with the assistance of subject matter experts within and outside the department.
- Direct, review, and approve product design releases and change requests. Coordinate all customer and internal engineering changes.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend resource allocation to meet goals.
- Develop, implement, and improve policies, standards, templates, and procedures for the electronics engineering department.
- Develop evaluation criteria to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations.
- Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with organizational and corporate objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality, and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies.
Qualifications :
- 7-10 years of experience in electronics design with embedded software.
- 3-5 years of prior program management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, motivation, and supervisory qualities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a Mechatronics emphasis. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Knowledge and execution experience of ASPICE and Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
- Experience with requirements capture tools like Siemen Polarion, DOORS, or similar systems.
- Ability to identify industry trends and develop technologies accordingly.
- Proven ability to create and execute product development plans.
- Exceptional organizational skills, strong project management abilities, and effective communication skills.
