The Import-Export Coordinator is an integral part of our Supply Chain team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ site.
The position interfaces with global subsidiaries, manufacturing facilities, suppliers, third-party logistics providers, and freight forwarders on the activities related to product purchases and intercompany transactions.
The position provides guidance on import / export activities and specific transaction processing, as well as handles the import / export activities related to non-inventory transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the intercompany activities to ensure timely and accurate processing, delivery, and invoicing of orders.
- Prompt and thorough communication to intercompany personnel on order status.
- Interface with appropriate internal functions to ensure production, QC, and regulatory requirements are synchronized.
- Optimize cost / service requirements.
- Interface with suppliers on order status.
- Interface with internal PAH departments on customer service activities.
- Interface with customs brokers / freight forwarders to manage exports / imports.
Skills
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
- Ability to build effective teams, coach, and develop others.
- A motivated self-starter, work well in groups, and demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
- Must have planning skills sufficient to forecast department requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree - Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
- Understanding of logistics / supply chain activities.
- Import / Export processes and cost implications.
- Knowledge of JDE / ERP systems preferred.
- Familiar with US and international logistics (ocean freight / air freight).
- Triangular transactions / Transfer Pricing.
