Our client, a dynamic fintech startup in the Bay Area, is revolutionizing real estate investment management. With a strong financial position and diverse revenue streams (including SaaS, services, banking, and platform transactions), our client empowers investors to optimize their portfolios.

As the first in-house accountant, you'll report directly to the VP of Finance.

Role Overview :

Joining our rapidly-growing Finance Team, you'll play a pivotal role as the second hire. Your autonomy and impact will shape our financial practices, and you'll thrive as a key contributor.

Responsibilities :

• Billing Management : Handle accounts receivable (A / R) and subscription billing. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience teams to streamline processes and enhance customer engagement.
• Strategic Contributions : Participate in strategy discussions, interact with customers, and contribute to process development.
• Expense Processing : Maintain expense policies, process transactions, and manage accounts payable (A / P).
• Financial Operations : Assist with bookkeeping and FP&A processes.
• Audit and Compliance : Support annual financial audits and tax filings.
• Revenue Collaboration : Partner with Sales and RevOps on contract creation, pricing, and revenue recognition.
• Operational Efficiency : Drive revenue and cost efficiencies through ad hoc processes and workstreams.
• Ownership Mindset : Continuously optimize your work and execute confidently within our small team.

Qualifications :

• Experience : 6+ years of professional experience (more is welcome!).
• Accounting : 4+ years of professional accounting experience.
• GAAP Knowledge : Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Tech Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and accounting software tools.
