Responsibilities :

Preparing and tracking closing documents relating to a variety of multi-state real estate transactions from letter of intent through completion of closing binders.

Documentation includes but is not limited to purchase and sale agreements, leases, Deeds of Trust, Grant Deeds and Memorandum of Leases.

  • Preparing ancillary real estate transaction documents such as escrow instructions, title instructions,
  • easements, owner’s affidavits, closing certificates, entitlements, etc.
  • Proficient in corporate administrative matters including entity formation, EIN procurement, drafting By-Laws, Minutes, Operating Agreements, etc.
  • Proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Performing legal due diligence including ordering title reports, surveys, third party reports and insurance documents.
  • Reviewing surveys, title commitments and exception documents.
  • Working closely with attorneys to resolve a variety of day-to-day issues and supporting a broad range of commercial transactions and projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product within stated deadlines.

  • Oral Communication Listens and obtains clarification; responds well to questions; is able to communicate with clients, company resources and attorneys in a courteous, effective, and professional manner.
  • Written Communication Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs;

able to read and interpret written information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a real estate paralegal.
  • Drafting expertise related to commercial real estate and leasing transactions.
  • Ability to maintain high quality performance with varied deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong analytical ability and research skills.
  • Strong communications skills (both oral and written). Ability to communicate effectively across broad functional and organizational lines.
  • Self-starter who is adept at working independently and in a team environment and partnering with management, clients, in-house counsel, outside counsel and staff.

Salary : $70,000- $100,000 annual DOE; may be bonus eligible.

Additional Information :

This full-time, non-exempt position will be based at the Service Center in San Juan Capistrano, California. This is not a remote eligible position.
